Dot NAME Domains
Introduced in 2001, the .NAME top-level domain is the sole TLD meant for personal sites only. These domains can include personal or fictional names, nicknames and/or other labels people are popular by. At the beginning, solely 3rd-level registrations were possible, so if you wished to acquire john.doe.name, you would have to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration procedures were loosened and second-level registrations were also allowed. Already registered third-level names remained active.
Through our company, you can grab your dot NAME domain for a period between one and ten years. You will be able to correct the WHOIS details, to park your domain, to create Custom DNS records, etc. You can also transfer an already purchased domain to our firm if you acquire its EPP transfer code from the current registration provider and we will renew it after the transfer has been finalized. There are no particular stipulations on who can acquire a .NAME domain, but in order to maintain the idea behind its establishment alive, the .NAME Registry organization may check who the Registrant is and if there is no connection between the owner and the actual domain name, the registration can be challenged.
The dot NAME TLD is amongst the extensions that support internationalized domains, so we can also register a domain in any language at no extra cost. In this way, your .NAME domain will be recognized in your country or region with the precise spelling in your local language.
